When writing a blog post, there a few simple rules to follow. First, own a blog. That is where you will put your blog posts. If you don’t already own a blog, then nip out and get one and come back when you’re ready. You can carry on from here, I’m not going anywhere.

Now that you own a blog, you are ready to stick a post on it. Or in it. It depends what sort of post it is. If it’s the kind of post that goes ‘on’ a blog, go to the section marked ‘posts for going on’. If it’s the kind that goes ‘in’ a blog, go to the section marked ‘Insert carefully’. If it’s any other kind of post, go to the section marked ‘Advanced: caution required’.

If the section you’re looking for doesn’t exist, you don’t need it

I’ve written a lot of crap over the years, so I know what I’m talking about. When it comes to talking crap, there are fewer than others or possibly even more than that who can talk as much crap as often or regularly than what me is able can to do. And that’s saying something. They’ve written songs about it. In some countries, it’s almost a religion.

This is not a blog post offering any sort of useful information. It is just a filler. I’ve got too many pages on this thing, but I don’t want to throw any away in case I don’t know how to make a new one.

Which probably puts me in the same boat as millions of other blog people.
